If the date/time mentioned in your Gmail messages is not correct and does not match with your correct local time, you can easily correct the time zone settings for your Gmail account to reflect the correct date/time. But, before you correct the time zone setting for the Gmail account, ensure that your Windows time zone is correctly set.
To change the time zone settings for your Gmail account, proceed as under:
(1) Sign in to your Gmail account. Click on Settings link at the top-right corner.
(2) Now, under Settings, select the “Accounts and Import” tab. Thereafter, under the “Google Account settings” section, click on “Google Account settings” link (see figure below):

(3) On the next screen, under the Google accounts, click on the link “edit your personal info” (see figure below):

(4) On the next “Edit personal information” screen, select the appropriate time zone from the “Time zone” combo-box. If needed, select the “Display all time zones” check box to display all time zones. See following figure:

(5) Now, click on Save button to save your changed settings.
That’s it! The emails in your Gmail account should now show the correct date/time.
