These days, you can get a large number of fonts of different shapes and styles with fancy designs for free. However, you can also create your own stylish fonts using freely available tools online. FontStruct is a free online tool that allows you to easily create your own fancy fonts online using different ready-made geometrical shapes. You can sign up for a free account at FontStruct. It also has a gallery of about 10,000 downloadable fonts created by other users.
You can arrange several types of geometrical shapes in a grid pattern, like tiles or bricks, to create fonts in easy steps using FontStruct (see figure below where I’ve tried to create a font):
After you’ve finished creating your font, FontStruct will save the font as a TrueType font that can be saved, downloaded and used on a Windows and/or Mac computer.
FontStruct also maintains a gallery of free interesting fonts created by other users. You can freely download and install such fonts on your own computer. For example, have a look at the following Mazey font – where every letter is a like a puzzle in which the letter is hidden:
FontStruct has approximately 10,000 different types of fonts in its gallery that are available for free download; most of these fonts have their own unique style.
