Recently, Google has launched an online Google Dictionary with multi-lingual support. Like most of other Google products, Google Dictionary is also free to use. At the time of this writing, it supports 28 languages, including English, French, German, Chinese, Hindi, Arabic, Spanish, etc. It has a simple interface and allows you to search for the meaning of any word in these languages.
Google Dictionary also allows you to translate a word from English to any of the other supported languages, with meanings of the word being shown in such translated language. Similarly, it also allows you to translate a word from any of the supported languages to English. For many of the supported languages, Google Dictionary allows you to find the meanings of the words in those languages. However, for certain supported languages, at this juncture, it does not support finding the meaning of the words in that language, but it supports translation of words from that language to English and vice versa. Have a look at the following figure showing the drop-down list box with the supported languages:

Google Dictionary will also display the pronunciation of the words. Another good feature of Google Dictionary is to show the synonyms of the words searched. In addition to showing the meanings of the words, it also displays Web definitions of the searched word from various online dictionaries and websites, including from Wikipedia.
As an illustration, have a look at the following figure that displays the pronunciation, synonyms, meanings and Web definitions of the word “mesmerize” that I searched in Google Dictionary:
