Look what Google has to say about Barack Obama?

November 18, 2009, Category: General, Internet

Type “Barack Obama is” at Google Search. And, Google will not allow you to complete your search expression and will “hasten” to suggest to you the following (see image):

Google's suggestions for what "Barack Obama is"

Okay, as you might have guessed – all this is courtesy the auto-complete feature of Google Search, that has now become famous for suggesting all funny things when you start typing some expression in the search box. It will start suggesting you even before you complete your expression.

By the way, presuming that the auto-complete feature displays the suggestions on the basis of what people generally (or mostly) search in Google Search (and this is what Google’s alibi would be), does it mean that Barack Obama is losing on his popularity index among the Internet users that fast? Since 75% of people in the U.S. use Internet, and these suggestions were offered by “google.com” (and not its country-specific domain), should we consider the above suggestions as the reflection of the people’s changing mood, since the suggestions show what people are searching about the President?

Anyway, whatever it might be, we must thank Google for offering such humorous suggestions, as always. Long live Google Auto-complete.
