TweeterFeed can automatically feed your blog post details to Twitter as and when new posts are found at your blog Most of the bloggers regularly tweet about their new posts at Twitter. If you have a blog which you keep updating regularly and you have an RSS Feed URL (which you’ll definitely be having), you can feed details of your new posts to Twitter automatically without there being a need to do so manually.

Use free services of TwitterFeed for this purpose. It can feed tweets about your new posts to Twitter automatically using your Twitter user name as and when new posts are found at your blog which it keeps checking regularly, once you set up your feed with it. At the time of writing this, TwitterFeed is already feeding more than 550,000 feeds to Twitter.

Joining TwitterFeed is very simple. You can open a free new account with it. You can also directly start accessing its services by signing in to TwitterFeed with your OpenID (to learn more about OpenID, read OpenID – protect your password and online identity). TwitterFeed allows login through many OpenID providers, including Yahoo and Google. See, the following image for login:

You can login to TweeterFeed also through OpenID

When you login for the first time, you have to link your Twitter account with the feed being created with TwitterFeed so that the latter could directly and automatically feed details of your blog posts to Twitter through your Twitter account. It is a simple one-step process where you have to click on Allow button on your Twitter account when TwitterFeed takes you to your Twitter account. This will enable TwitterFeed to feed your blog entries to Twitter through your account.

Once you have linked your Twitter account with your feed, you can provide a name to your feed which can also be the same as your Twitter user name. Moreover, you have to provide the URL to the RSS Feed to your blog. That’s it!

Your feed is now ready and TwitterFeed will automatically keep feeding Twitter with your blog posts as and when new posts are added to your blog.

You may check the details of your feed or edit your feed settings by clicking on Edit Feed button on the dashboard of TwitterFeed after login. You’ll see a screen like the following:

You can change the update frequency of checking for your new posts from 30 minutes to 24 hours, depending upon how frequently you update your blog. You can select whether the tile of the post or the description of the post or both should be included in the text of the post content fed to Twitter. Naturally, you would also like to include link to your post, which is the default option for TwitterFeed. You can also select the URL shortening service that you want to avail for your Twitter feed. It can be bit.ly, TinyURL, or any of the dozen more supported URL shortening services (click to learn more about bit.ly and TinyURL). If you so wish, you can include a Post prefix and/or suffix with each tweet to be fed to Twitter. Just be cautious that the length of the tweet cannot be more than 140 characters including the prefix, suffix, post title/description and the shortened URL link. Once you have selected all the options, click on Save button to save the settings.

Having set your feed for your blog posts at TweeterFeed, you can now be assured that all your blog posts will automatically be updated regularly at Twitter as and when new posts are posted at the blog.
