Mobile web has to be optimized for use on the small screens of mobile phones. Bing already has m.bing.com that offers an optimized view experience of Internet on mobile phones with resources for local searches, quick answers, and maps. Now, Microsoft has updated the Bing for Mobile browser with new additions such as real-time search for NFL, flight status, and improved and optimized navigation for touch-screen devices. However, almost all these new features would be available at this stage in U.S. only.
In these new features for Bing for mobile, a new version of Bing for high-resolution touch devices has been made available that is optimized for touch navigation. Initially, this new version will be available at m.bing.com with iPhone, Zune HD, T-Mobile G1, Verizon Imagio, or Samsung Omnia. For users in U.S., a new Movies feature has been added which allows you to search for Movies in your city, and you’ll see the movies playing nearby, showtimes, overviews, and even trailers and video clips. Have a look at its interface:

The new NFL feature allows you to type a player name or team name; and Bing for Mobile will display upcoming games, stats, and scores. Moreover, when the game is on, you can even get real-time updates on the plays.
The new flight status feature allows real-time flight updates. Enter the airline and flight number (such as “ua 6”) and you’ll get the latest departure and landing times.
In view of the fact that mobile web will grow more and more in importance in coming days, Bing has tried not to lag behind others such as Google.
