RapidShare is perhaps the most popular online file sharing site that offers free file-hosting and file-sharing, and free-file downloading to users. Though it offers optional paid services also, most of the users on RapidShare use its free services. However, there are various limitations on the free file download / upload services such as pre-download time delay, low bandwidth, difficult captcha, restrictions on simultaneous downloading, and delay before successive downloads, etc. These limitations can be annoying to the free users and make multiple-file downloading from RapidShare a difficult and time-consuming process. However, you can avoid some of the frustration caused by these limitations by a nice small utility RapidShare Plus that can automate the process of downloading of multiple files from RapidShare, thereby saving your precious time and energy.
RapidShare Plus is written by Alien333, a RapidShare user, and it can be downloaded freely from here. It is a small but powerful utility. It is only about 52 KB in download size. Have a look at its interface:

RapidShare Plus has several useful features that can make the process of downloading files from RapidShare much easy and fast. Its main features are as under:
(1) It can download several RapidShare files automatically in a queue once you provide a list of the links to the downloadable files. Simply enter the links to the files, click Download button and then just relax or do some other work on your laptop or elsewhere. Rest of the downloading process will be automatically completed by RapidShare Plus. It will keep on downloading all files listed by you one by one, even automatically waiting for the delay between successive files on your behalf.
(2) You can add or delete links to the downloadable files in the software at any time.
(3) You can even provide the URL to a linklist on RapidShare in the Add Linklist field of this utility. All the downloadable file links in the linklist will then be automatically downloaded one by one by RapidShare Plus. It is pertinent to mention that a linklist is a web page or a URL that is created by the users of RapidShare and it contains links to several downloadable files.
(4) You can paste links to files in the software, delete them, clear them, add them. You can edit the list or queue of files being downloaded in RapidShare Plus at any time. Or, change the order of the downloadable files at any time.
(5) You can set the default download directory in which all your downloaded files will be saved by RapidShare Plus. This default directory can be changed easily at a later stage, if you so wish.
(6) You can schedule the download start and stop time for your queue of files to be downloaded. This can be done by using the Options menu item under the Config menu.
(7) The queue of the downloadable files can also be made to start automatically at the startup, from Options.
(8) Set up optional balloon notifications to alert when any error occurs, or when a file download is completed or when the queue of files is completely downloaded.
(9) Auto-execute a program on your computer after downloading all files in the queue or after downloading a specific number of files, etc.
(10) RapidShare Plus can download files in your queue from RapidShare using an external download program too; provide its executable link in the Options.
(11) Generate a log file of the download process.
(12) The software can be minimized as a system tray icon in the task bar, so that it can keep doing its work unobtrusively in the hidden form while you work on some other software or file.
(13) Change the default server settings.
Rapidshare Plus is thus a convenient tool for downloading Rapidshare files and acts as a Download manager for you if you’re a free account user on RapidShare.
