Today (on November 9, 2009), Mozilla Firefox completes 5 years!!!!!
Exactly five years ago, on November 9, 2004, Firefox 1.0 was launched. Now, Firefox has about 330 million users the world over. It is used by about 25% of the total Internet users in the world in 70 languages.
Supported by 7000+ add-ons which offer a large number of rich features / extensions, Firefox is already the browser of choice for advanced users. If you can get a particular feature in some other browser then you’ll always get that feature in Firefox too; though the reverse may not always be true. This is the extent of its rich features enhanced by the Add-ons. The best part is that Firefox, as well as its add-ons, are free.
So, let us wish Firefox many happy returns of the day!!!!!
