Most of us have the tendency to forget things, including even some important events, meetings, etc. There are many types of alert or alarm services that we use to ensure that we don’t forget the important events. These may range from a simple manual entry in a diary to an alarm on a mobile phone or an online computer alarm. Now that Twitter is one of the most popular web services, you can get several free Reminder services for Twitter that can send you tweets or direct message (DM) to your Twitter account to remind you right in time for your important events. (1) Plook:
Plook is perhaps the simplest Twitter Reminder service that you can use freely without any registration or login or without being a follower to somebody on Twitter. Have a look at its interface:
Simply select the date (from the Calendar button) and time (in GMT) when you want the reminder tweet. Provide your Twitter address in the form such as @techsuperb. No need to give the full web address, simply provide your Twitter user name after the @ character. You’ve to provide your email address. Lastly, write your Tweet yourself which you want to be sent to your Twitter account as a reminder for some important event. As usual, your tweet should not be more than 140 characters. Now click Remind me button. That’s all! You’ll now get the tweet at your designated time as a reminder.

Remindr is another simple Twitter Reminder service where no registration or login is necessary. Its interface is similar to the one used by Plook. Enter your details to avail of the free reminder tweet services (as also by email).
(3) Remember The Milk for Twitter:
Remember The Milk is another popular service for reminders. In addition to sending reminders to you through Twitter, it can also send reminders through email, SMS, Instant Message, etc. To use its reminder services through Twitter, you’ve to add @rtm as your friend in your Twitter account. (4) Sendible:
Sendible is another Reminder service for Twitter. It also provides reminders by email, sms, and social network messages. It offers certain other services too and has free as well as paid services.
(5) Other similar services:
There are other similar reminder services for your Twitter account, such as Twinders, Twalert, Task.fm, Timer, etc. You can try them. If you want to learn about more similar services, Google “twitter reminder” or similar such expressions.
So, create reminders for your Twitter account and never forget a birthday or an anniversary or an important meeting with the boss!
