You may have multiple user accounts with the same email service, such as Gmail or Yahoo or Hotmail. However, normally you can access only one account with a browser at one time. For example, suppose I have four Gmail accounts. If I have already signed in to one of my Gmail accounts, I cannot sign in to another Gmail account in the same browser simultaneously or at the same time (even in a new tab or in a new window). And, if I sign in to a different user account with Gmail, my earlier Gmail user account which was open in the browser would be automatically getting closed. Thus, I can access only one user account of a particular email service at one time. This also applies to other web services, i.e., you cannot sign in to any website with two or more user accounts simultaneously. However, Internet Explorer 8 changes this and allows you to open multiple user accounts with the same email service or same website simultaneously and you can work with all such multiple accounts at the same time independently.
Internet Explorer 8 has a feature called New Session in File menu, which supports opening multiple user accounts with the same email service at the same time without getting forcibly or automatically signed out of any of those accounts. Before I proceed further, let me point out that normally the Menu Bar in Internet Explorer 8 is not visible. Though for the purposes of this article, it is not necessary to make Menu Bar visible as we have a keyboard shortcut for achieving what we want, yet if you want to make it visible, click Tools (on the toolbar, and if necessary first click on >> on the toolbar), then click Toolbars, followed by click on Menu Bar to check it on; and the menu bar will now be visible in IE. See the following image for how to do it:

Now, I come back to the main topic for this article. To open multiple user accounts of an email service, say Gmail, simultaneously and independently, proceed as further:
(1) Start Internet Explorer 8. Sign in to any one of your user accounts for Gmail (or any other email service, for that matter). For example, say it is abc123@gmail.com. Take the precaution of NOT selecting the stay signed in option (for other email services, this option could be called Remember me or something like Keep me signed in).
(2) Now, while in Internet Explorer 8, do either of the two things. Click on File menu and then on New Session. Or alternatively, press Alt + F + I keys followed by Enter key. Internet Explorer will open another new window for you with a new session open in it. Now, you may sign in to Gmail with your second user name (say abc456@gmail.com). Again, take the precaution of NOT selecting the stay signed in option. Once you sign into your second user account in this manner, you’ll notice that you can simultaneously work with both the user accounts with Gmail and independently of each-other.
(3) If you want to simultaneously open yet another user account with Gmail, or may be even more such user accounts, follow the same procedure in IE as explained in steps (1) and (2) above.
You can follow the same procedure for opening multiple user accounts simultaneously with any other email service, say Yahoo or Hotmail. Likewise, same procedure will help you to sign in with multiple user accounts to some other website in IE browser.
