Send currently displayed web page by email by a single click When you browse the web, you may like to send the link to the current web page displayed in your browser to yourself or to your friends by email so that you can read it later or that your friends could see that interesting web page. You can send the link by email by using the lengthy method of opening your email account in a separate window / tab of the browser, composing a new email, copying the link address of the currently displayed web page, and then pasting it in the compose email window, typing the subject line and even copying / pasting some interesting lines from the web page to your email. However, you can avoid this lengthy process and send the link to the current web page by an email from your Gmail account by just one click using the GmailThis! bookmarklet. And, this bookmarklet will automatically add the subject line and will also automatically display the selected text in the current web page, if any, in the body of the email.

GmailThis! <– drag and drop this bookmarklet link to your browser’s links bar or the bookmarks bar. Or else, right-click on this link and copy its link address or code; and then, create a new bookmark or favorite in your browser and add this copied link address as the URL / location of this new bookmark.

One this bookmarklet or the bookmark is in place in your browser, next time when you want to email the currently displayed web page in your browser, simply click on this bookmarklet / bookmark. Your browser will automatically open your Gmail account (you may be asked to login if you’re not logged in already) with a new email message in the compose window; this new email message will automatically display the title of the current web page as its subject and the URL link to the current web page will be automatically shown in the body of this new email. Moreover, if you had selected / highlighted some text in the current web page before clicking on the bookmarklet / bookmark, then it will also automatically display this selected text in the body of the new email. What you’ve to do is just to enter recipient’s email address (could be your own email address or some friends’ email addresses) and then simply click on the Send button. And, your email will be sent.

Therefore, sending the current web page link by email becomes a single-step process with the GmailThis! bookmarklet.
