November 27, 2009, Category: Software

The latest Microsoft Office 2010 Beta version is available for free download and can be used freely up to October, 2010. One of the useful features of Office 2010 is to allow you to directly save / convert your Microsoft Word document, Excel spreadsheet or PowerPoint presentation into PDF document format. And, this feature is now inbuilt in Office 2010. No need to use other free software or free online services for converting Word, Excel or PowerPoint documents into PDF files. You can directly create these files in Office 2010 and then save / convert them as PDF files.

For converting your files to PDF format in Office 2010, proceed as under:

(1) Click on File, then click on Share, and now Select “Create PDF/XPS document” under the File Type section.

(2) After this, click on the “Create a PDF/XPS” button from the right pane of the screen.

(3) From the dialog box that appears on the screen, select whether you want to create a Standard PDF file or a PDF file of Minimum size. It goes without saying that the Standard PDF file will allow you to have the better printing quality and a better online document. Minimum size PDF file will be useful mainly for publishing it on the Internet.

(4) If you want to select other options for the PDF file to be created, then click on the Options button. You can set options for the page range, including non-printing information, etc.

(5) Click on Publish button to save the PDF file.

That’s it! Give it a try yourself.
