Recently, I had written about SmilaEnlarger that is a free and open-source software to enlarge your images and photos without losing the picture quality. You’ve to install that software on your computer. In this article, I’m writing about a free online service available at Reshade that can enlarge or resize your pictures without losing quality. However, Reshade offers a limited 2x zoom to enlarge the picture for a free online service and moreover, it has a limit on the number of pictures that you can resize free in a day. It also has paid service that offers much higher enlargement zoom factor (unlimited zoom factor) with a maximum resolution of 6000×3750 pixel size.
With the free online service to enlarge a picture, the maximum supported resolution is 1920×1200 pixel with the zoom factor limited to 2x. For using the free service, visit Reshade and upload your image from your computer or provide a web link if that image is already available online at some web address. Thereafter, on the next screen, select the new image size from the drop-down list box and also select other options (see figure below) and then click on “resize it” button:

Within a few seconds, your image will be resized and you can download and save it. For example, see the following original image of 800×600 pixel size (click on the image to view it in its full size):
And, after enlarging it by a zoom factor of 2x (maximum permitted zoom factor for free service), the resized image of 1600×1200 pixel size is shown below (click on the image to view it in its full size):
For the free online service, Reshade allows you to upload up to 3 images per day; these images will be deleted after a short-while unless you create an account (even free account is available); moreover, you’ll not be able to crop images.
Reshade supports JPG, BMP, GIF, PNG image types (single frames and non-transparent). Maximum supported file size is 10MB. Maximum supported image size is 4000×4000 pixels while the minimum supported image size is 50×50 pixels.
So, you can use Reshape to resize your photos / pictures using the free online service and enhance the poor quality pictures.
