
Microsoft has officially announced the version details and the prices of its Office 2010 suite that is likely to be released in a few months from now. Office 2010 will be available in four versions: (i) Office Home and Business, (ii) Office Professional, (iii) Office Home and Student, and (iv) Office Professional Academic. The retail price for the Boxed Product of Office Home and Business version of Microsoft Office 2010 will be $149 and the retail price for its Product Key Card will be $119; this version includes Word 2010, Excel 2010, PowerPoint 2010 and OneNote 2010 applications. Microsoft has also announced in a period of about 7 weeks since Office 2010 Beta version was made available for free download by all, it has been downloaded by more than 2 million people all over the world, that is equivalent to about 40,000 downloads every single day. This is an overwhelming response for this Beta version that can be used free of cost up to October, 2010. If you’ve downloaded the free Office 2010 Beta version, you can download it now from this official Microsoft site. Moreover, Microsoft has also announced that 9 out of 10 users of the Office 2010 Beta version have expressed their satisfaction about the improvement in the new version over the current Office 2007 version.

It may be pointed out that the Product Key Card form will be valid for a single installation. On the other Boxed Product form for “Office Home and Student” version will be allowed usage on three computer in a home as a family pack; and, the Boxed Product form for the other three versions (“Office Home and Business”, “Office Professional” and “Office Professional Academic”) will be allowed to be used on two computers.
