Windows’ default clipboard has a limitation of remembering only the last text / image / file, etc., copied by you. The moment you copy something else, the old item in the Windows Clipboard gets overwritten with the new one. If you’ve Microsoft Office installed on your computer, you can use Office Clipboard that keeps 24 copied items in its memory; however, there are limitation on its use also since it allows you to select an item from these multiple copied items to paste into only one of the Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. But, there are many third party programs that allow you to copy multiple items and paste into any other programs or documents. M8 Multi-Clipboard and Screen Capture Utility is a free utility for this purpose.

M8 Multi-Clipboard captures everything you cut or copy from other programs while running in a minimized form. It remembers the last 25 items copied to the clipboard. These items can be anything that can be copied to the Windows Clipboard, such as text, image, graphics, link to a web page, etc. This utility makes it easy to paste any item in any other program or document from its record of last 25 clips; simply restore the program using shortcut key or otherwise, and then click on the clip or copied item that you want to paste. When you hover the mouse over the clips in this program, it shows their preview; if the clip is text, you’ll see preview of several lines, and if it is a graphic, you see a thumbnail of the image (see figure below):

M8 Multi-Clipboard also allows to you perform screen-capture in a convenient way. To capture the entire screen, press PrtScr key. To capture the current active window, press Alt + PrtScr keys together. To capture an individual image from a browser, such as Internet Explorer, point to the image, right click and then select Copy from the popup menu.
This program is absolutely free to use. You can download it from here.
