Just about two weeks earlier, WordPress 2.9 version was released as a major version for the blogging community; now, its 2.9.1 version has been released with fixes for 24 bugs. There are no feature additions in this version and it only fixes the bugs including 5 bugs that were assigned high priority. In fact, I was also facing difficulty in editing the theme files in Chrome browser (I’m using Chrome 4.0 Beta version) after updating to WordPress 2.9 version since it won’t allow the saving of the edited file due to the simple reason that the moment you move the mouse cursor out of the editor window and want to click the Update File button, that button itself would disappear! So, I was using Firefox to edit the theme files whenever required. But now that version 2.9.1 is released, I noticed that this version has fixed the above problem as well that I was facing.

If you’re using WordPress, you’ll notice availability of version 2.9.1 in the dashboard when you sign in to your WordPress account. So, update it using automatic update process or download it from the WordPress site. Here is the list of the bugs fixed in this minor upgrade.
