Google has created a new tool, YouTube Direct, that will allow media organizations to request, review and rebroadcast YouTube videos directly from the YouTube users. Such media organizations will be in a position to enable customized versions of upload platforms of YouTube on their own websites. Users will be in a position to directly upload videos to such media organizations. This will enable such organizations to easily review videos submitted to them and select the ones they want to broadcast on-air and/or on their websites. Since these videos will also live on the YouTube site, it will allow the users, who upload the videos, to have a broader exposure for their videos in addition to the regular exposure they get from their own audience at YouTube.
In fact, not only the media organizations, but also any other organization can utilize the services of YouTube Direct. Such other organizations can also use YouTube Direct to solicit promotional videos, support videos around social campaigns or other kinds of users-generated videos.
YouTube is already the most popular site to share videos created by users all over the world covering various events including natural calamities. This new tool, i.e., YouTube Direct, will allow media organizations to directly connect to the citizen reporters/journalists who submit useful videos at YouTube covering the latest events in their areas/localities.
